I am passionate about wellness through the food we eat. I am dedicated to teaching people the art of making wholesome food choices. I have observed first hand how foods can heal. I would like to help you and your family improve eating habits to maximize physical and mental health. Lastly, as a "foodie" the discovery of great tasting, whole, fresh food, has been an adventure. I hope I can share that with you!
As a Registered Dietitian I draw from many years in the food and health industry. First as a Registered Dietitian in a Medical facility, I worked with maternal nutrition and specific diets for health concerns. Next I worked as a Registered Dietitian and Food Manager in a Mental Health Facility for children and adults. Here I had the opportunity to work with eating disorders, drug/alcohol rehab, and weight loss, among many other health concerns. On a consultant basis I have worked with a corporate weight loss program, and nutrition wellness for drug and alcohol rehab.
It was not until I had a family that I experienced the true nature of wellness through food. Food Allergies and autoimmune conditions have taken me to a new awareness for food as medicine. It has been suggested that 1 in 3 children born after 2000 will develop diabetes. Could this be possible? What does that say about our environment and the food we eat. I hope you enjoy my website as we explore the many facets of food and wellness.
